Hydrostatic Test Pumps

Hydrostatic test pumps are an effective way to identify leaks, observe strength, and monitor the safety of pressure vessels and water systems. Ensure pipe pressure is adequate and the system is working at optimal strength with either a manual, drill-powered, or electric test pump.

Hydrostatic test pumps are designed to test water meters, solar systems, sprinkler systems, and water lines in commercial structures or residential homes.  These pumps are portable, making it convenient to use quickly on a small job or move efficiently around a large plumbing system installation. Maintaining safety standards of pressure or water lines requires hydrostatic testing when pipes are first installed and to monitor the effectiveness of the system over time.

Reed electric hydrostatic test pumps are equipped with a powerful but quiet 110V, single phase 50/60 Hz motor.  These long-lasting, durable pumps have stainless steel pistons and brass cylinders to ensure the life of the tools. These pumps are available with or without a cage for additional protection.  A drill-powered hydrostatic test pump is powered with a ½ inch electric or cordless 18V drill and weighs less than 9 pounds, making it convenient and easy to maneuver around any job. It's a lightweight option since the power comes from a separate drill, and there’s no need to be near an outlet or find an extension cord.  For infrequent jobs, consider the manual hydrostatic test pump HTP300 with 300 psi capacity or HPT1000 with 1000 psi capacity.  These hydrostatic pumps weigh less than 9 pounds making them lightweight and portable.  Whether it’s a large construction job or modest home irrigation issue, make sure to have a hydrostatic test pump to ensure the efficiency of your water system.
